I am a volunteer at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. I had worked at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics on the timing team and thought that it would be exciting to take on a role in Sochi. I signed up through the online volunteer application, had my personal interview via Skype and was finally notified that I had been selected to be on the cross country ski course preparation crew.

They originally requested that I come for four or five weeks. After letting them know that this would be next to impossible, they said that I could arrive on January 31 and depart after the games. I will leave on February 26.
